Jeff's Furniture first opened its doors in 1983. The store was located in a 12,000 square foot building in downtown Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The original owner, Mr. D.R. Jeffrey's, operated Jeff's Furniture for 11 years before selling the business to the current owner in 1994. In 1995, the business was expanded in an old A&P building and the store's name was changed to Jeff's Furniture Warehouse. Bringing in new, stylish furniture lines at great value, annual sales double after just five years. Jeff's Furniture Warehouse also became known for its "down home" customer care and service, making it a favorite shopping destination in Nash and Edgecombe counties.
Looking to expand, HomeTrends opened for business July 1, 2005 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, bringing a unique concept in retail furniture to the area with the majority of inventory representing a single vendor, Ashley Furniture Industries. While HomeTrends remains dedicated to the Ashley brand, we have expanded our inventory to include products from multiple sources and vendors. We now offer a huge selection of brand named furniture, accessories, and mattresses. With a variety of styles, ranging from very traditional to the most cutting edge, our customers have the home furnishing options they need to create a look that's their own.
In May 2007 a catastrophic fire broke out at Jeff's Furniture Warehouse. The entire inventory as well as the building was completely destroyed. Jeff's Furniture Warehouse was out of business for one year until a temporary, much smaller location, also in downtown Rocky Mount, was secured and the store could be reopened.
Jeff's Furniture made a big move in July 2011 to its current location, a 34,000 square foot building located on the west side of Rocky Mount. The business continued to thrive by offering a huge selection of furniture, mattresses, and accessories at affordable prices, The trained and courteous staff creates the hassle free, comfortable environment that our customers have come to expect and appreciate.
December 2016 Jeffs and HomeTrends made a BIG move right next to each other in the middle of Rocky Mount, behind Wendys! With our new location and staff our main goal is customer service and satisfaction!!
